Terms & conditions

NOTICE REQUIRED

It is advised to order your cake well in advance of the date of your function. During the busy summer months, please be aware that availability is very limited, so please give plenty of notice to avoid disappointment. I will, however, try to accommodate last-minute orders if possible.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS

For wedding cakes, a £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date in the diary and the remaining balance is due to be paid no later than 2 weeks before the date of the wedding. For celebration cakes and cupcakes etc, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your order in the diary and the remaining balance for cakes under £100 is paid on the day in cash or the day before collection/delivery by bank transfer.

For celebration cakes over £100, the remaining balance is to be paid no later than 7 days before collection/delivery. Failure to do this can result in your order being cancelled due to non-payment and deposits paid will not be refunded due to items already bought/made and time spent and the cost of orders turned down to accommodate your cake that week.

A verbal agreement or email does not confirm your order.

CANCELLATIONS

For celebration cakes, cancellations can be made up to 2 months before the date that the cake is required and a full refund is given, but if any work started/items/products have been bought/undertaken will be deducted from the deposit total. For cancellations under 2 months, no refund will be given.

For wedding cakes, as mentioned, the £100 deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable. If the unfortunate circumstance arose whereby the wedding is cancelled completely after the remaining balance has been paid 2 weeks before the wedding date, regrettably this cannot be refunded.

Cancellations made 6 weeks in advance or less will not receive a deposit refund.

COLLECTION/DELIVERY

Cakes may be collected. They can also be delivered - please ask for a price for the area you require delivering to.

I am based in the North West of England and the areas I deliver to are Cheshire, Greater Manchester, and Lancashire, but if you require a delivery outside of these areas, please contact me before placing an order.

LIABILITY

Once a cake has been collected/delivered, the cake will no longer be the responsibility of Happy Days Cakes, and cannot be held responsible for any damage or interference to the cakes.

GENERAL

The cakes may contain nuts or nut product ingredients. The cakes may also contain non-edible products. You will be advised of these and it will then be yours/caterer's responsibility to ensure that these are removed before cutting and serving the cake to yourself and any guests.

PACKAGING

All cakes come with their cake box and will be packaged adequately for transportation. It is recommended that the box is placed flat in your car either in the footwell or boot.
